During my winter break, I didn’t do any school work like I should've; I'm a big procrastinator. Instead, I went to Avila beach and visited Santa Maria with my family. I worked most of my winter break because I needed money for Christmas presents. On Christmas, I went to Eagle Mountain Casino for the first time and ended up winning. The last week of my christmas vacation, I went to the zoo with my family and I spent some time redecorating my room.
Reflecting on my first semester, I loved how it went by super fast. One thing I regret is not staying on pace for Pre-Calculus since the beginning of the year. It was the only class I was behind in because I did not pay attention much since it was time consuming and required a lot of attention. I already didn't like math and that class made it even worst. Although I strongly disliked the class and I was far behind, I managed to stay after school and ended up passing three EOT’s in one day; that honestly made me very proud of myself. I finished my first semester passing all my classes.
Although my last semester at Lindsay High School is about to start, it has not hit me yet. I still can't believe that sooner or later I'm going to graduate. Either way I'm not very excited, I'm sort of used to this place already and I kind of like school, although waking up at 7 in the morning for five days a week isn't very pleasant.
I applied to 4 CSU’s and 4 UC’s before winter break started but I haven’t heard back from them yet. I’m a bit excited for their response but I think I’m more nervous than anything. I’m planning on attending a CSU so hopefully I get accepted to at least one, I’d be devastated.
